Certified Hand Therapy

At Norman Physical Therapy, you’ll receive expert care from Alicia Blaylock, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). With advanced training and national certification in hand therapy, Alicia brings extensive experience and an exceptional level of knowledge and skill in evaluating and treating conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Certified Hand Therapists are uniquely qualified to treat a highly specialized area of rehabilitation that requires in-depth understanding of the complex anatomy, biomechanics, and healing processes of the upper extremity.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or dealing with a sudden injury, Alicia provides customized, evidence-based treatment plans to help restore your range of motion, dexterity, strength, and function.
When appropriate, she designs and fabricates custom splints (orthoses) to protect healing tissues, support injured structures, or enhance functional use of the hand.

Alicia combines this expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to deliver care that’s both effective and empowering. From musicians to mechanics, athletes to artists—your hands matter. Don’t settle for generalized care when specialized expertise is available.

Your hands are essential—trust them with a specialist.

I have been to a lot of physical therapy places in my life. I’m that wonderful combination of having chronic pain and being accident prone. After coming to Norman physical therapy, I will never again go to anywhere else. The entire staff is amazing. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely patient. Alicia came highly recommended from a friend, and now I am highly recommending her to the rest of you. She will work you hard, but you will laugh the whole time you do it.

Treated my teenage son, Matt, very well. Alicia genuinely cares for her patients and goes above and beyond. Hopefully he will never get hurt in wrestling again, but if he does, we would never consider going to another office.

After having surgery on my thumb I was sent to Norman PT. I walked in a bit apprehensive not knowing what to expect. After my first session with Alicia Blaylock, I knew the experience was going to be a good one. Not to sound cliche, but it’s like an extension of very close friends and family. Encouraging and supporting one another is a must and there is no shortage of either here!
